The issues I always run into is the part that supports your neck is too high and I need some support so my neck isn't all the way on its side when i lay on my back. This pillow is the perfect height and supports my neck at an angle when laying on my back. If you are worried the side supports will get in the way if you lay on your side, don't, because they are comfortable either way. Happy with my purchase.
